Single and Parenting

Single and Parenting is a 13 week, Christian support group for single parents.  This is a weekly video seminar designed for parents who find themselves single for any reason. The goal of Single & Parenting is to provide a safe environment within which participants can face the challenges of raising children on their own. During the first 30-40 minutes of the meeting, the Single & Parenting group watches a video seminar featuring nationally recognized Christian experts on topics important to single parents. After viewing the video, Single & Parenting group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members. The faith-based sessions are led by trained facilitators. Some of the topics discussed are “Your Child & Your Fears,” “Tired & Overwhelmed” and “Conflict & Resolution.” To find out more about Single & Parenting itself, we suggest that you visit the website,  We will offer a program for children ages 5-12, as well as child care for children under the age of 5. For more information, please call the church office at 607-734-1614. The Single & Parenting group is open, which means that people may join the group at any time. We are fully prepared to welcome newcomers at any time during the series.
